The Queen song in front of David Bowie

AS THE world mourns the loss of George Michael, there’s a video doing the rounds that captures his musical brilliance better than any other.

In the five-minute clip, Michael sings the Queen song Somebody to Love during rehearsals for the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert which was held at Wembley Stadium in 1992.

With David Bowie and Seal watching from the side of the stage, Michael absolutely nailed the rehearsal, even though he later confessed it was the hardest song he had ever sung in his life.

“It’s ridiculous,” Michael said according to Is This the Real Life?: The Untold Story of Queen,

“One minute it’s up here, one minute it’s down there.”

Michael was just one of the huge stars that performed at the tribute concert that raised money for AIDS research following Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991.

“It was the proudest moment of my career, but mixed with real sadness,” Michael said after the performance.

Elton John, Axl Rose, Liza Minnelli, David Bowie, Seal and Robert Plant all performed Queen songs with the three remaining members of the group in front of the 72,000-strong crowd.

Christmas cheer with Carpool Karaoke medley

IF all you wanted for Christmas was a medley of the biggest names in music singing everyone’s favourite holiday song in carpool karaoke, then want no longer for Santa has come early thanks to James Corden.

Decked out in Christmas garb, James Corden and Mariah Carey sing along to her 1994 holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas” with a little help from some famous friends.

Adele put her own soulful spin on the tune, while Lady Gaga gave it her all, wrapped up like a present.

Elton John, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas and Gwen Stefani also joined in on the fun in previously unseen footage from their 2016 carpool segments.

The video has been in the works all year- Coldplay’s Chris Martin appeared in the clip after his January appearance, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers added some of Santa’s “Ho Ho Ho’s”.

Only Gaga and Adele were brave enough to try some of Mariah’s higher notes.

All About Celine Dion

SINGER Celine Dion has marked the one-year anniversary of her husband’s death by sharing an emotional video that shows just how much she’s still grieving.

The 48-year-old star, who lost husband Rene Angelil on January 14 last year following a long battle with throat cancer, released a new video to her YouTube channel this week.

The video shows Dion at home, surrounded by pictures of her husband and kids, breaking down in tears as she looks over the family snaps.

As the clip progresses, Dion is seen in the foetal position, her arms wrapped around a giant love heart pillow and tears in her eyes as a picture of she and Angelil sits nearby.

It’s confronting viewing, particularly given that the My Heart Will Go On singer’s public appearances in the twelve months since her husband’s death have usually seen her poised and polished.

Dion herself soundtracks the video, singing an a capella cover of the Sia ballad My Love.

Sharing the video on her Facebook page, Dion penned a heartbreaking message to her late husband:

“My memory loves you, it asks about you all the time. Especially today … One year later, I wish R.I.P. meant Return If Possible. Forever yours, Céline xx …”

Dion, who lost her brother to cancer just days after her husband’s death, revealed last year that she was struggling to forgive herself for not holding Angelil in her arms as he died.

Dion was not by his side when he took his last breath, and the mother of three admits she will forever regret not being able to grant Angelil’s final wish.

“He wanted to die in my arms,” she told ABC News in her first TV interview since her tragic loss.
